Giuseppe Di Martino – Contemporary Art & Abstract Painting
As a contemporary artist born in 1992, I create a surreal visual language using oil, acrylic, and mixed media on large-format canvases. My art explores the unity of humanity, nature, and the universe by transforming the invisible into luminous landscapes, surreal forms, and symbolically rich details—places where dream and reality merge. It illuminates opposites such as light and shadow, chaos and order, and invites us to experience the interconnectedness of all being.
With flowing lines, organic forms, and color contrasts in violet, green, and orange, I create emotional tension. Richly textured surfaces and clear compositions lend depth. Inspired by philosophical questions, spiritual ideas, and human emotions, my works open spaces for reflection and self-discovery. My paintings include drawings, nudes, and landscape paintings.
Early influences and education
Even during my school days, a win in an art competition shaped my path – I realized how creativity touches people. Art was omnipresent in my childhood home, influenced by my mother's studies in art and philosophy. After school, I initially chose a career in crafts and completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter/joiner. Technical drawing honed my precision, while painting courses at the Kolping Art School and membership in the Vaihingen an der Enz fine arts shop shaped my artistic abilities.

Since August 13, 2025, I have been represented by Singulart, reaching an international audience. From September to November 2025, I will be taking an intensive course at the Artgeschoss art school, covering drawing, nude painting, oil and acrylic techniques, and landscape painting. In February 2026, I will begin my master's degree at the Master School for Carpenters in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which specializes in furniture design. My vision is to merge craftsmanship and art, combining painting with creative expressions of furniture design, thus opening up new avenues in my artistic work.
Artistic themes & style
My art is deeply influenced by surrealism and explores the unity of humanity, nature, and the universe. I transform the invisible into visible forms—luminous landscapes, surreal shapes, and symbolically rich details in which dream and reality merge. My works illuminate life's opposites such as light and shadow, chaos and order, inviting us to experience the interconnectedness of all being.
With flowing lines, organic forms, and bold color contrasts in violet, green, and orange, I create emotional tension. Richly textured surfaces and clear compositions lend my paintings depth and expressiveness. Inspired by philosophical and spiritual questions as well as human emotions, my works open spaces for reflection and self-discovery. My painting is an invitation to pause and experience the universal connection between body, mind, and soul.
Thanks and outlook
In addition to exhibitions, I sell works to private collectors and am building a growing social media presence. My goal is to deepen my passion and reach new artistic heights. I am deeply grateful for this life that my art makes possible and for every encounter that arises from it—a gift that drives me.
Best regards, Giuseppe Di Martino
